Green Fleet
For the sailors 6 and up who will be comfortable sailing alone by the end of the course and have already completed Learn to Sail or Kinder Pram, MYSF offers Green Fleet classes in introductory racing, based on the methodology and approach of Opti sailing worldwide.
This class is ideal for your aspiring sailor, with the goal to provide a fun, safe, and educational experience on the water. Your child will have a solid introduction to core sailing skills, supported by a team of experienced sailing coaches. These sessions will provide the skills necessary to get comfortable sailing alone, and compete in Pram Power (additional cost) in August if desired. The Green Fleet is the perfect introduction to create life-long sailors.
Green Fleet classes run Tuesday - Thursday from 5:30-7:30 for four two-week sessions, June 15 - June 24, June 29 - July 8, July 13 - July 22, and July 27 - Aug 5. Please note that class on August 5 will take place at the Pram Power Regatta in North Lake, WI. Registration for the event is not included and participation will require a parent to provide transportation and supervision if the child attends. This is a great intro to racing and is a day of friends, crafts, and sailing!
All classes are held at the Maple Bluff Marina and occur rain or shine.
Recommended For: sailors 6 years or older AND previously enrolled in our Kinder Pram or Learn to Sail classes.
While we realize plans may change, any refund requests will be charged a $25 administrative fee, and refunds may not be issued if we cannot fill your spot.
